Turn off download of updates.

I have rolled back to version 3.0.9.6. I have set my automatic update preferences to NEVER. But when I open FileZilla, it downloads the update anyway. Does anyone know how to stop it doing that?

It already knows about the new update and thus displays its availability. No actual checking is performed if the update checking has been disabled.
