I really need to setup a FTP server for myself! I've realized that FTP servers can come pretty damn handy!
I'm trying to setup both a Mozilla FTP server and client. The server and the test client are behind the same router. So far I haven't been able to contact the server from my client. Could the problem be that both computers have the same external IP or that they are behind the same router?
I chose the port 15432 for the server. Could this have caused a problem?
Other than that I guess it could be the router itself that is keeping me from connecting. Is it normal to have to configurate the router or is FileZilla normally plug n play?
I have a Linksys WRT54GS router. I don't really know how to change settings on it. But if you think it is the router that is causing problems, I will invest the time and will probably figure out how to change the setting.
Thanks for taking your time to read my post!
Server and Client behind same router, possible?

- Using WinXP or higher? Check Windows Firewall.
- You should be able to reach the server on the same machine via ftp://localhost:15432
- Unless you use port 21, you must always include the port number
The computer running the server should have a fixed internal IP.
