Filezilla doesn't recognize my new file

I added a folder to my computer that I would like to upload with filezilla. Filezilla does not recognize the new folder. The only folders showing in filezilla are the previous ones. I thought it just had them in memory so I rebooted the computer and reloaded filezilla. Still the same. It shows only the folders that were there previously. Any suggestions?
