Lost Files/contents when transferring using Filezilla.

#1 Post by lemuelsiase » 2017-09-06 03:20

Good day!

I noticed that some contents of my domains were disappeared after using FZ e.g. broken images and crashed posts/pages whereas in the original software where I get those domains they are responsive and the contents were intact.

Please any information that can help me would be much more appreciated. :)

Did you accidentally delete some files? If so, re-upload them from your most recent backup.

I'm sure that I haven't deleted something, Sir. I was just uploading all files on my domain by using Filezilla from Local Site to Remote Site.

I have attached some screenshot of how the process happened just ignore the red oval mark I know 10 bytes is nothing. As you can see the transfer file directories are complete. But when I ran my domain after uploading the files majority of the contents of my domain were gone/lost including images.

What did I do wrong?

P.S. I'm using Wayback URL in getting my domains.

A slightly different size is normal for text files due to line ending conversion. See Data Type

Did you maybe transfer everything as ASCII? Images and other binary files get destroyed if you do so.
No support requests over PM! You will NOT get any reply!!!

Thanks for this data Sir but I tried to change the "Data Type" there are only 3 options to choose from on my data type of my FileZilla and these are 1. Auto 2. ASCII 3. Binary. I ran a test to use them all, unfortunately, it doesn't work there are still contents e.g. images are broken or lost files :( Hoping that you will not give up on me politely, Sir!

I attached my "BEFORE & AFTER" scenario with my domain, Sir. The domain you can see that has an image and everything that was from the software where I get the contents of my domain & and the other image which contains no images that are the result of transferring files my domain using Filezilla.:(
