Can you change your password?
Hello, I would like to change my password in Site Manager. Is that possible? I don't see how to when I go to Settings. Thanks
Re: Can you change your password?
Yes, just type in the new password, then the password in the Site Manager has changed.
Re: Can you change your password?
I tried typing it in to the site manager box and the main Fillzilla area "host username password port" but its not working. Says "user ok...password required" "login authentication failed" ?
Re: Can you change your password?
I've looked around and see that its supposed to be in the Interface section in the left panel but its not there. I attached screenshots. I just autoupdated updated Filezilla to 3.35.2 today

Re: Can you change your password?
I think there are some misunderstandings here...
1. You can change the password stored in the Site Manager. FileZilla will send that new password next time when you connect using that entry. So far, so good.
BUT: You will NOT be able to change the password stored on the FTP server! FTP simply doesn't support that! The server-side password must be changed on the FTP server directly by its administrator.
In short: Passwords on FTP servers cannot be changed over FTP (and thus, FileZilla), however, you can change the password FileZilla has stored locally.
2. No idea where you got that instructions from, but they are for FileZilla Server, not FileZilla. Looks like the source blissfully hides that important fact.

No support requests over PM! You will NOT get any reply!!!

I'm new to all this but I'm learning. Thanks for clarifying. I think I understand it. I'll reach out if I have anymore issues.boco wrote: ↑2018-08-12 22:43I think there are some misunderstandings here...
