Overriding settings

Hi everyone
I need to override specific settings, but I'm having trouble with that, as I cannot find any option for overriding.
Suggestion: How about adding a fzoverride.xml file, that could be used just like the fzdefaults.xml file - but instead of just settings default values - the values defined in fzoverride.xml would override the ones in the current user configuration.
