Failed to retrieve directory listing

I've tried repeatedly to retrieve the directory listing, but it always shuts down. Changing Timeout in Settings makes no difference; it still times out within a few seconds.

Response: 200 TYPE is now 8-bit binary
Command: PASV
Response: 227 Entering Passive Mode
Command: MLSD
Error: The data connection could not be established: ETIMEDOUT - Connection attempt timed out
Response: 421 Timeout
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing
Error: GnuTLS error -110 in gnutls_record_recv: The TLS connection was non-properly terminated.
Status: Server did not properly shut down TLS connection
Error: Could not read from socket: ECONNABORTED - Connection aborted
