I am trying to transfer my files to a website using ftp. I found out the username and password is incorrect . I use the password and Username from the website and trying to transfer files to . I don't the username and password that's only for FTP . I want to create a new username and password for FTP. I get these error :

Error: Could not connect to server.

Status: Connection attempt failed with "EAI_NONAME - Neither nodename nor servname provided, or not known".

You cannot set nor change any login data over FTP, the protocol simply doesn't support it. If you are allowed to set or change FTP credentials by your hoster (not all do), it must be done over their web portal/panel.

Hi,

I've lost the password for FTP and can't get logged in. I've tried to export the password using the information on the "get help section" on filezilla but it still isn't working.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

If you can't get logged in using FileZilla, then it either has no password saved at all, or the saved password does not work. In both cases, trying to extract the passwords from FileZilla will not get you anywhere.

You need to contact server support to have your password changed (they might not give you the present one for security reasons).
