Software bundled with the client is unsafe, this is what any user will understand. And this is very close to "Filezilla is unsafe"

You can say "you can refuse the installation" this is too dangerous on a production server, it's a question of trust.

So filezilla will disappear in my toolbox... too bad, it was a good software

ESET clean it : FileZilla deleted
C:\Users\Administrateur\Downloads\FileZilla_3.40.0_win64-setup_bundled.exe = NSIS = Fusion.dll - une variante de Win32/FusionCore.AL application potentiellement indésirable - nettoyé par suppression [1]

We do offer installers without offers, this is mentioned both on the website as well as even in the offer-enabled installer.

This is not clear, I can't seen any mention of offers/no-offers in the download page.
I tried the zip version, it's ok with that version.

Thanks.

Is there some existential reason to continue using an ad/sponsoring library that seems to trip up most anti-virus libraries? I get the desire to monetise, and I fully respect that there are non-sponsored versions but the UX on this is pretty terrible. I have just started using Windows again after a long time and when it came time to suggest an sftp client I obviously thought of Filezilla. When I tried to install it and Windows 10 (with vanilla Windows Defender) refused to let me launch the installer, I got a very nasty surprise... Has FZ been taken over by script kiddies???

Surely there must be some monetisation platform that doesn't get used by nasties that will also allow you guys to monetise and keep a decent UX?
