Quick Connect Toolbar

#1 Post by jebert » 2019-04-12 18:29

Hello,

I am trying to add a site to the drop down list on the quick connect tool bar but I am not finding how to do that. I want to be able to hit the drop down click the link and it take me to my site.

Thanks

The QuickConnect toolbar is not designed for permanent storage of sites, you cannot edit it. The server will be added to the QuickConnect history when you connect to it. However, there is no guarantee it will stay there.

Please use the Site Manager for permanent site storage.

i thought you were able to edit this in Windows: %APPDATA%\FileZilla\recentservers.xml. I just recently did this without any issues.

Editing the files directly will work for the moment, but every new server connected to through the QuickConnect will shift positions of the history, eventually pushing the oldest entries out. Site Manager is for persistent entries, why everyone insists on using QuickConnect?

Thank you for the replies. I connected to the site multiple times but it still does not save or cache the link under the quick connect toolbar. Sounds like the user may be out of luck

It should go into the QC history (arrow at the end of the toolbar). The fields themselves do not have a history (like the form fields in a browser).
