Some images dont appear on my web page

#1 Post by Balgrim » 2019-06-25 06:42

Hello,
I've got a problem with my website, i upload it correctly but some of the images (1/4) refuse to appear on my page, here is a screenshot.

I searched for answers and checked if my transfer was on auto and not ascii, it is.
Theses images are .jpg like the others.

I tried to reuploaded theses images several times but nothing changes.

Thank you !

1. Try to re-download the failed images and see, if they still work, then. If they are corrupted, you might have uploaded them as ASCII, but images are binary.

2. What format are these images in? Browsers do not support all formats, it is even different from one browser to the next.

3. Do the paths and filenames specified in the HTML match exactly the server paths and names (including case!)?

Hi,
1. i already tried to re-download the failed images and unfortunately, it doesn't work, i tried to upload my website in binary and in auto mode, is that possible to check if the images are in ascii or binary ?
2. these images are all in .jpg, all of the others .jpg work correctly
3. The paths are correct, exactly the same as the original folder

There is no reliable way to check what format a file has previously been transferred with.

I see, I just retry with the automatic mode, but it still does not work, the same images are missing

For the record (see my point 3.): Windows has a case sensitive file system, however, it usually ignores case completely (can be changed in latest Windows 10).

Web servers, on the other hand, usually run on Linux or a similar UNIX-variant, these OS are fully case sensitive and caps matter.
