server connection problem can't connect to the server

I've been facing problems with FileZilla for a few days now for some reason. I have hired some systems admins for my VPS from my host provider and they seem to be able to login to Filezilla but I am unable to for some reason. My web host told me that I should contact my internet provider to see if they are blocking any ports and they even provided me some ports to start with and my internet provider said that they don't block any ports. I also don't have a firewall activated either use any anti-virus so I don't know why I can connect to my server via Filezilla even though it works perfectly fine on WinSCP. please suggest some idea of what to do.
