Download files to local PC and saving original file date

When I download files from a current site to my PC, I would like for the downloaded file to show the actual uploaded date. My current FTP app always changes the date to the current date.

Does FileZilla download use the current date or the old date?

I don't see that info in the descriptions and and don't want to set up a new FTP app until I know I can save the original dates.

Pls disregard my question. It seems to be downloading and keeping the original files.

It does if the appropriate option in the Transfer menu is checked: "Preserve timestamps of transferred files".
