Performing a Penetration Test on a server (need help with FileZilla)

#1 Post by CheesySceneos » 2020-04-26 11:51

Hi guys,

I'm doing a penetration test on a Windows 2003 Server which uses a FileZilla server. Iv managed to get into the target machine and I've located the 'Filezilla server interface.xml' file which reveals a plaintext password. However, I can't find a username to match to the password as it isn't mentioned in the file.

Is there a default username or a file which contains the username relating to this password?

Thanks in advance

It's the password used to administrate the server through the administration protocol. No username needed.

Please note there is not a supported version of FileZilla Server running on Server 2003 (unless that was a typo). Old versions are not supported.
