Finding person in logs

#1 Post by TerryY » 2021-02-13 19:00

I am trying to determine if one of my new developers has signed in to / and / or transferred files?

Where is the log file?

Windows server. Thank you!!!

Which software?

FileZilla Server - Log file or files is/are at its install location, subdirectory "Logs".

FileZilla Client - By default, log files are disabled. If you enabled the log file feature, you explicitly set the name and location.

We cannot say anything for other software used.

Exactly what I thought.

Under Program files (x86) there is FileZilla Server ... but there are no folders under there?

Exactly where I expected to look.

I also searched my server for all instances of Filezilla and found nothing other than the program files (x86)

Is the "Enable logging to file" option in the FileZilla Server General settings checked?

Even the most current version of the Server is now a very old one. Thus, I have had some problems remembering its exact default settings.

Note that a completely new version of the Server is in the works, one that will finally advance it to the 21st century.
