Mac Download Speeds are Slow

I'm having problems with download rates that are much too sluggish. I have 1/2 GB of internet speed, but a 4 GB file takes 10+ hours to download. Upload rates are perfectly natural. I've tried both active and passive modes. I tried setting the maximum number of downloads to ten, but it didn't help. I uninstalled and reinstalled FZ several times, and we reset the server we were trying to download from several times without success. I'm using a brand new iMac Pro (Big Sur) and have never had a problem like this before today, considering the fact that I'm also paying for FileZilla Pro. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
