Default considered version of EBCDIC in FTP transfer

#1 Post by mcoulont » 2021-04-27 15:34

Hello

I've made a FTP transfer from a GCOS machine (in EBCDIC) to a Windows 10 one, with the type of transfer set to "Automatic".

I can then read the files on my Windows machine. They have therefore been encoded from EBCDIC to ASCII.

My question is : what is the version of EBCDIC used in this conversion? 1047 maybe?

FileZilla does not convert file contents from/to EBCDIC. Any conversion that has happend has been performed server-side.

Yes, not just when sending but also when receiving.
