how to change folder directory to public_html on filezilla

Hi,

I am on bluehost and using filezilla for mac. Currently i can upload into another folder, but i cannot jump to public_html or switch public_html as a standard folder.

Can you help?

What does it say in the message log if you attempt to change into that directory?
