WiFi

#1 Post by LeoBorgi » 2022-06-27 10:00

Hello there,

I would like to use my in-house WiFi network to copy files from my laptop to my eReader. The eReader can connect to WiFi and has an IP address, I can see it when I ping it from a command line.
Can I do this with FileZilla ?
If not, does anybody have a suggestion for how I could do this?

your help is greatly appreciated

As long as there is an FTP or SFTP server running in your eReader you can.

If you mean Kobo, then no. I have Tolino e-Readers (which are essentially Kobo) and the WiFi access is only for accessing bookstores, using the browser and checking for updates (all the "client" stuff). They cannot be locally accessed over WiFi as they don't run any servers. Local access happens over the USB cable, exclusively.
