Just wanted to write a quick "Thank you" for the massive case of data corruption I just discovered after using filezilla to transfer a phpBB-forum to another server a few months back.
All attachments are gone because of this neat feature: https://blog.phpbb.com/2011/08/23/the-d ... scii-mode/ (since this blog is from 2011 and the problem persists, one has to assume that corrupting data is the intended behaviour of filezilla)
Really, a big "Thank you" for that! Life is so much more thrilling when one has consider that the default options of a file transfer program could corrupt data.
Might I even propose adding a "thrill mode" into filezilla? By that I mean a user option (enabled by default, of course), that would make the program randomly corrupt every 100th file on average.
This would enhance the experience of using filezilla immensely, I assure you.
