double automatic transfert

#1 Post by dzaohfz » 2023-05-16 16:21

Hello,

when I did edit file on filezilla, and after when I change this file on my editor it opens automaticly a transfert on filezilla.
But since some weeks, I have 2 servers with the same files, I did edit on the first server, so when I change my file I have automaticly the transfert. But I tried to do edit on second server but it doesn't do the automaticly the transfert on the second server only always on the first.. So I must do it manualy for this second. Is there a trick to have the automate transfert for the two server for the same file ? Or it can be an update of filezilla to have this option ?

Please clarify, are you editing a local file or remote files?

Local file, when I modify it on notepad, I have automatically popup on filezilla to upload it but only on the first server. But not automatically for the second server.

Unfortunately no, what you want isn't possible. Any particular local file can only be associated with a single server for the purposes of editing.

it's a shame and it is not possible to associate it with the 2nd server without having to close the tab of the first?

Completely untested, but maybe you could use hardlinks, or possibly symbolic links. That way, what looks like separate local files actually is the same file.
