Trying to link CCTV photos to FTP or Cloud

#1 Post by Oeanje » 2023-10-09 03:28

Dear all,

i'm trying to link captured images from CCTV-type of camera to an FTP site or even cloud.
But I have no clue on how to go about doing it...

Truely appreciate if someone could enlighten me...

For example, can I link FTP to FileZilla cilent/server?
If so, how do I obtain the FileZilla IP address and port?

What you need is an FTP server, such as FileZilla Server. Install it on any computer of your choice, set up some user account, and then the server's IP address and user credentials in your camera configuration.

127.0.0.1 is the loopback address. Each and every computer and networked device in the world has this address.

14148 is FileZilla Server's administration port, only the FileZilla Server Administration interface can connect to that port.

You must use the real address of your server. 127.0.0.1 makes the camera attempt to connect to itself. The port is normally 21, unless you explicitly changed it.

127.0.0.1:14148 is only for managing the FTP server from the same device, as the server runs as a service, and Windows does no longer allow desktop communication with a service directly.

Is there any easy way to find or set my server address?
