Insecure FTP connection

I'm French and beginner... it won't help ....
I'll try to explain my problem in english, Please be kind:

I've just ordered OVH hosting&domain and I'm about to use wordpress.

Before starting, I wanted to check my "root file"? (don't know if it's the right term in english) in Filezilla, as OVH support advised me to do.
But when I try to connect with my logins, I have the message:
Insecure FTP connection
this server does not support FTP over TLS
If you continue...blabla

On OVH tutos/support, they indicate it means that the STFP or SSH option is not activated in my OVH board, FTP-SSH.
But I checked and IT IS!
How can I solde that? I don't want my logins and files to be in clear.

"FTP-SSH" (SFTP) and FTP over TLS are not the same.

Try to set protocol in FileZilla's Site Manager to "SFTP", not FTP.

FTP-SSH isn't even a thing, it doesn't exist.

No I meant on my OVH Board, the FTP-SSH part where I can enable/disable

Looks like the hoster supports plain FTP and SFTP only. SFTP is a different protocol and you have to select it in FileZilla. Then, it will connect to the correct port, 22. FTP over TLS is not supported it seems.

The menu point is a misnomer, it should be "FTP and SFTP".

You said I should select it in Filezilla but when and where?
When I open FZ and log in with my current logins, without considering the message I mentionned, risking my infos to be on clear?

I don't understand what I'm supposed to do.
I'm french and it's bit technical
I dont' understand what there are talking about site manager??/quickconnect?? etc

The only thing I kknow about Filezilla is Filezilla hen I open and log

If you are using the bar at the top of the FileZilla main window (called QuickConnect bar), try entering the login information normally and 22 as port.

Site Manager (first icon in the toolbar) is for permanently saving site data and offers more settings.

I wanted to delete my previous post cause I finally understood.
I prefixed my host name with sftp://
It retruns a message (that I'll try to translate): host server key unknown. It is not guaranted that it is the right server displaying different infos and asking approval and association.

First, from a reasonable standpoint, that was correct, unknown Host keys should never be approved lightly.

However, they should display their correct server Host key somewhere in the dashboard, for you to compare it with the string FileZilla displays. Only then, approve it and the connection is established.
