Suggestions for folder/path history

#1 Post by svivian » 2008-12-03 18:09

I find that the folder history gets clogged up with useless entries. If I download a folder from the server, all its subfolders are listed in the history, even though I didn't open them. And if I go to a very nested folder, all the folders "on the way" are listed even though I didn't open them. Also, if I close and restart FileZilla, the list disappears.

Here's how I'd love to see this feature done:
1. A folder is only listed if some action has taken place in the folder. Uploading, downloading, renaming, etc. If I've done something in the folder then it's important to me. Otherwise I don't care, I'm unlikely to go back there.
2. Order the list by last visited, not alphabetically. Most times I'm only switching between 2-4 folders, not 15, so it's easier if the recent folders are at the top.
3. Remember the folder list between sessions, including the remote list. FileZilla remembers the current local/remote folders and connection (when I click reconnect) so why not the folder history?
