Cannot upload pictures

Hello all:
I am having a real problem uploading pictures to my web site, when I insert the pictures into the page that I am editing through Microsoft word the picture is there in the file where I want it. When I upload the page to the internet I can see the outline box of the picture but no picture exisits on the page. Any idea what I am doing wrong??????

You may have linked to the image incorrectly. You must use relative paths. And, any image must be uploaded with the site.
