html files lose some formatting when uploaded

#1 Post by keith1 » 2010-03-15 22:02

I have created some web pages with Kompozer. Kompozer has known publishing problems, so I tried uploading the files with Filezilla. The files upload, but some of the formatting is lost. Any Ideas?

Thanks
Keith

Formatting? As in line endings? If you upload HTML, FileZilla uses ASCII transfer type by default. This performs line ending conversion, should the target system require it. If you experience problems, try to upload in Binary transfer type. There is a switch for it in the status bar, right click it.

If other formats (like colors etc.) are missing, it could be you're using a CSS file and the site can't find it.
