red cross on images

#1 Post by oakleywindows » 2010-03-30 10:45

Morning,

Sorry to be a numpty but I have searched and played but have not managed to succeed.

I am trying to add a insurance quality logo to the company website on the contact us webpage.
I copied and pasted the image to my contacts page and uploaded. When I view the file contents / website preview the logo is displayed corrected. saved file and uploaded via filezilla request window.

I then opened our website via a separate tab to review the change and the image is not displayed only a red cross.

I have copied the logo into my images folder hoping that would help but no luck. i renamed the item still no luck.

Can someone please help and advise in novice speak. Im not to bad on the pc but this is really taxing my brain.

Many Thanks

Caz

hi
where is stored your image file in your PC?
Do you have in your PC a folder that contains your page.html and you image file?

Please describe me the names and position of these files.

The situation on the Remote Server MUST perfectly reflect the situation in your PC.

For example you can have a folder named "myFolder" containing the Html page "myPage.html" and the image file "myImage.jpg".

Best Regard Roberto

Use all lowercase letters for images and use relative paths in your HTML.
