Weird Behaviour. Files deleted, but still appear in browser

Something very strange is happening with a website I am working on. I first noticed this problem when I was uploading new files to the remote folder, and it was not updating them on the website. It seems that my index.htm, and all dependant files of index.htm still appear when I type in my address, even though I have erased the entire remote folder.

I have worked on many websites before, and never experienced anything like this. Anyone have any clues as to what's going on? The host is not responding to my questions.

Cleared your browser cache, yet? Also, some hosters introduce a delay before any changes go live (they may use some sort of cache).

Show your power as a consumer and ditch them.
