-Did you name your file index.html or index.htm? Name must match exactly, including case.
-Did you upload it into the correct directory? Mostly called public_html, www or htdocs.
-For Linux hosting, does the file have the correct security applied? For a website, usually 0644 or 0664.

Thanks for the reply.

If I try to upload the site the error i get is, " the url does not match the ftp settings " using sitebuilder by plesk which came with the hosting package. the company im with is example.com, is the security feature u mentioned in the control panel of mydomain? cant seem to find anything related to security.

I thought by getting sitebuilder with the hosting package would make everything easier to build and upload,

However i would rather use another program to build and filezilla to upload.

Regards

No, it's what you most probably can check/set in the FTP client. In FileZilla, right-click the resource(s) on the server and select ''File permissions''.

I am not sure if this is the right place this question, but I have created a website for Ajmer city and want to know if it is possible to use the filezilla project with my website as I have created the website with Drupal. Is there any issue if I do use this for downloading and uploading the site?

If your hosting service provides an FTP or SFTP server for you to transfer the files, then you can use FileZilla Client to do that.
