Site shows "Index of /" not website

#1 Post by newby » 2012-01-07 03:50

As the name implies, I'm very much a Newby at this. So still feeling my way.

I designed my (first) site on Serif Webplus Starter edition (which has a .wpp file suffix.

I successfully (I thought) went through the uploading sequence - uploading the file to "public_html/", as instructed by the hosters (PlanetDomain).

However, when I check online, instead of seeing my website all I see is "Index of /" then 3 files ("Parent Directory", my website file, and cgi-bin).

Can somebody please tell me what I might be doing wrong.

Thank you :o

I doubt that webservers understand .wpp

I guess you need to ''publish'' your site, which will convert it into a format (.html) webservers can understand.

You have missing index.html or index.php over there that's why this error is appearing

You should upload your site's files. / means that there are no files in your server.

you must check the index.html file... it must be correctly listed on public_html folder...
