Uploading files binary mode ???

#1 Post by _eliot_ » 2012-08-05 12:15

Hello,

I try to install a cms and it says on instructions that for some files I need to use binary FTP mode... What is that ? Does FileZilla have this mode and where?

Thank you.

By default FileZilla uses Auto data type, means it will switch Image (Binary) vs. ASCII based on extension. The list can be edited in the settings, also you can force Image or ASCII there. To switch at runtime, there's a small icon in the status bar; you need to be connected to an FTP server to see it.
