SEO Question
I'm having a difficult time understanding Google's new algorithm pertaining to what is considered good SEO or not. My question is this: Does it hurt your SEO ranking if you begin your page with a video link and followed with content or vice-versa? Any help is appreciated.

It shouldnt really be a problem as long as you have the description and meta tags on the top of the html file.
You can include tags but google doesnt really care about them now due to high abuse rates.
Basically for GOOD seo, make sure your page is structured well so google search engine can understand it in its own way
