Help! I'm a newb stuck on trying to d/l to a subdomain

Hello.

My main webhosting domain is not the domain I am trying to upload files to. I am trying to upload to one of my other domains.

I cannot seem to get the d/l to show on my site or aweber account. So I am sure I am doing something wrong, but no idea what.

Example: let's say my webhosting domain is http://www.main.example.com, but the domain I am currently building is at http://www.second.example.com. My ftp looks something like this, http://www.main.example.com/second.example.com. I need to upload an autoresponse page at http://www.second.example.com/autoresponse.pdf.

When I sign in to filezilla, it says something like ftp://myname@main.example.com. I go to the public_html and to the subdomain (http://www.second.example.com), and upload the autoresponse.pdf. So I get something like ftp://myname@main.example.com/public_html/second.example.com/autoresponse.pdf. Aweber does not recognize this at all. It needs to be simply http://www.second.example.com/autoresponse.pdf I believe, but no idea how to make this happen.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Been stuck on this for days now. Thanks kindly.

Terry the newb

PS if that was as clear as mud I would be happy to answer questions to clarify or retry my attempt. Thanks again.

May I know what kind of site is http://www.second.example.com? Since you are uploading a pdf file, perhaps you don't need to upload it to your sub-domain already but directly to your main domain.
