Help Please changes to site not showing up.

#1 Post by tech_049 » 2014-05-12 13:27

I am having difficulty getting any of the changes made to one of my sites appear online. I am running Windows 7 pro, and have tried most the the fixes that I read in this forum to no avail. Any suggestions would be helpful as I am new to all for this.

Are the transfers being listed as successful in FileZilla?

I'm having the same problem. No matter how many times I refresh the page, empty my cache, clear cookies or re-upload the files the old ones still show (even if I delete them from the server). I didn't have this problem before, have been using Filezilla for a long time. I've noticed it began when I re-installed Filezilla after re-formatting my hard drive. I don't know what to do anymore :(

@OP: Did you clear browser cache?

@Bella64:
1. Do you upload to the correct place?
2. Is your HTML editor a modern one or from the pre-Vista era?

Sometimes I have similar situation. I upload file, clear browser's cache, refresh and nothing changes. Maybe server sometimes needs a little time to change.

It is easy to upload a file to the wrong place.
Delete the file on the server and then check to see if the file is not found via the browser. That will confirm you are looking at the correct file.

Then upload the file again.
