Hello - Trying to upload url

#1 Post by LoveBlessings » 2018-05-01 21:38

I'm trying to upload a url I have already live. I know this sounds weird, but I have a website builder (very unhappy with).
I also have another site I want to upload independently with another software. Don't know how to proceed as I "cannot connect to server".
So I rebuilt a website with my own software. Please someone tell me how I can point my domain out of this "nightmare of a company" without having a long down-time. I'm confused and am not sure of the right way to proceed.
I'm watching tutorials and used other software for website in the past, so I know a little about this but did not think I would encounter this problem.
My website is hosted by a company that does not allow my site to have ftp.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Uploading a URL, that's like driving a brand name, or calling a phone book.

Thank you.
I guess I didn't get the terminology right. Sorry
I'm trying to upload a website but want to upload it as I am using Mobirise.
However, I have a godaddy website builder and it's been very frustrating because it (of course) lacks flexibility.
I'm just trying to figure this all out.

FileZilla is a tool to transfer files using the FTP or SFTP protocols. It does not care what exactly you transfer and where. Neither do we, as it's beyond our scope.

So, as long as the hoster offers any access by FTP or SFTP, you can use FileZilla to upload the website files. AFAIR, with GoDaddy, you need to enable FTP access yourself (on their web portal).

Thank you so much for your reply.
It makes perfect sense to me now.
Sometimes it's not easy to have the right perspective when frustrated.
Again, I really appreciate it.
