My host has forced everyone to use SFTP rather than plain FTP, I don't have an issue with that but I am only able to access the root dir from within the Site Manager.
The host tells me that is normal, which I find a little bit odd.
I can navigate through the dirs once logged in but It is inconvenient because I frequently work on multiple files in multiple dirs.
Is there a way round this from with Filezilla?

Odd, you should be able to enter any arbitrary remote path through the Site Manager.

That is just what I thought but they seem to think otherwise but cannot give me a logical reason why.
I couldn't see the problem because I would have to be logged in order to get anywhere.

Re: SFTP inner dir access
It worked fine using FTP but their server sometimes prevents FTP access when my dynamic IP address changes, something else I find a bit bizarre.

Re: SFTP inner dir access
They are saying it is because too many ports need to be open and this poses a security risk.

Does it give any error in the message log?
