Use SFTP to change PHP file change

#1 Post by joscraftyhook » 2020-06-24 18:06

I recently had Mailchimp's Sign Up form on my website. I was using a Pop Up to get subscribers to my website. When I tried to connect my site again using the code Mailchimp provided, I got this code:

Unable to communicate back with site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change was reverted. You will need to upload your PHP file change by some other means, such as by using SFTP.

I contacted my domain provider and they told me to use you to fix my problem. Well, I have NO idea how to change my file. I have NO idea what I am doing in the first place. I am Tech illiterate. One day my pop up was working and the next it was not. EasyWP's support center couldn;t help me either.

Can you walk me through the steps to get my Pop Up working again?

Please have a look at our Tutorial how to use FileZilla.

Note that we can only help you with using FileZilla, but not with what you want to transfer.
