Just a beginner

#1 Post by arvionnet » 2022-05-06 04:29

At the risk of sounding too old, which I am, I wonder what new FileZilla member users can learn how to start the simple tasks on a page development.

I am sure we were not all quite experts when you began.

is there such an acceptable topic?

Back in my youth I made extensive use of the local library.

Simple question:

Can I use FileZilla to start designing my site? If so, any idea where to begin?
I'm 78 years old and 50 miles away from any library.

No. FileZilla is an FTP client, it can only transfer files.

It is NOT a website editor, which is what you would need to start.
Here is a list of editors you can try: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_HTML_editors

Take it as a starting point. As you seem to be a beginner in HTML, you should get one of the WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editors, which work in a visual way, without needing to learn the actual HTML markup code.
