Can't see my -private folder

#1 Post by RickVS » 2021-09-28 15:20

My website has a private hidden folder called _private. It's where my main database lies. I just reinstalled FileZilla and can no longer see this folder on the server. I went to Server and turned on 'Force Showing Hidden Files' but that didn't do anything probably because it isn't a file but instead is a folder. I had this working previously. What do I need to do to get this to work?

Also, bonus question: How do I make my site that is defined under Site Manager to appear under the quick connect drop down?

Thanks!

You might have updated from a very old version that used LIST for getting listings to the latest, which uses MLSD for that task (if the server supports it). "Force showing hidden files" only worked for LIST and is now largely deprecated.

The server administrator must reconfigure the server so that it won't hide any items from you.

Bonus: You just manually fill in the login details into the QC bar once and connect. Then, it'll be in QC history until it's thrown out by newer entries.
