Error notepad.exe

I have an error message that I can't resolve in the settings when I want to edit/display a file on my server, in this case it's a .php file. Error message:
The file "wp-config.php" cannot be opened:
The associated program ("C:\Program Files|WindowsApps|Microsoft.WindowsNotepad_11.2304.26.0_x64_8wekyb3...\Notepad.exe" %f) was not found.
Check your file type associations.

In settings/editing files, I get an error every time:

Associated program not found:
C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft. WindowsNotepad_11.2304.26.0_x64_8wekyb3... Notepad. ex"

Make sure the associated program exists. If the associated program doesn't exist, change the association to a program that does exist, or remove the association.

Additionally, make also sure the file is reachable (you can execute it from Explorer without having to confirm any UAC prompt. "Modern" UWP crap is sometimes not accessible directly.

You can always associate to the old Notepad, or, better, to a really decent editor like Notepad++.
