100% CPU usage when changing remote directories

Using several builds (maybe 2.18 or so up to 2.24f) I get 100% CPU usage occaisionally when I change remote directories. It uses 100% CPU for a few seconds, then executes the command. I am using Windows XP. I tend to connect to my Xbox (connected to the same router as my computer), but this behavior also happens when I'm running the FileZilla server and connecting to it from the same computer. Is this a known issue? I have tried enabling/disable passive mode support, and I do not experience this problem with other FTP clients.
