500 Command not understood

I'm running a settop box with busybox and dropbear SSH server, extended with sftp-binary from OpenSSH package. I'm able to connect with FileZilla Client but directory listings on server are always empty. File upload does work correctly.

I tried to access the settop box with WinSCP (SFTP protocol), this shows directories but without permissions. WinSCP with SCP protocol shows the directories and also permissions.

So in general this seems to be a problem with directory listing format returned by the server.

I attached the debug outcome including raw directory listing

Would FileZilla be enabled to support SCP (like WinSCP does)? This would make it to the perfect tool for me (and hopefully to others) ..

SCP does not have directory listing capabilities. It can only transfer files using a chosen remote file name.

Essentially your server is broken:
  • Invalid permissions, what's that question mark doing there? Does it tell me to guess permissions?
  • 17 files with a size of over 1 TB each. How do your store those files? You must have crazy amount hardisks, wish I had those *drool*
  • All those files were created at the beginning of time!

You need to upgrade to a better server.
