Power Management request

#1 Post by kricker » 2009-07-17 21:02

I often use Filezilla at the end of work day where I need files uploaded to a server for my clients to retrieve later that night or early the next morning. I have my PC set to go into standby after 20 minutes of inactivity. If I want my uploads to complete I have to manually disable standby before I walk away from the PC and set Filezilla to shutdown the PC when done. Of course I don't always remember this and sometimes my PC goes to sleep before all my files transfer. Would it be possbile and of interest to any dev to implement some sort of power management feature? Something as simple as preventing standby as long as Filezilla is running would be great. I could then just set Filezilla to close after the transfers are done and my PC could still enter sleep mode afterward.

Oh, I would like this too. I often grab my laptop out and don't want to get the plug for it. But in power saver mode, it goes to sleep.

Could you put this request on the tracker. botg doesn't take feature requests on the forum, and i'm lazy.

Will be implemented in the next version.

Was actually a fun thing to implement.

Sweet. I look forward to actually updating my Vista box (I think I'm still running 3.2.1).
