Multiple Files With Same Name

#1 Post by payado » 2005-08-09 02:08

I'm seeing an odd file listing connecting to a VMS-based server. The files are reports generated on the server are all the same name, the only difference is the date produced.

When I connect to the server it displays multiple files as a single file with a number at the end showing the total number of files with that name. For instance, the file will be listed as "FILENAME.EXT;12" where 12 is the total number of files with that name. Other FTP clients display all files.

Does anyone know a way to change this in FileZilla so that I can select individual files of the same name based on date?

Penguin, I changed the setting without success. Just for good measure, I shut FileZilla down and restarted. Still no luck. It still displays all files with the same name as a single file with the total number files trailing. Any other ideas?

Try toggling "Show Hidden Files"...

I'm sure you were on to something. Unfortunately the server didn't accept the command and errors out while trying to connect. I think it is "LIST-a" that it doesn't like.

Thanks for your help.
