I've noticed that if I download a file called filename.dat;112 the suffix on the extension is dropped.
I.e. when the file gets to my PC it's called filename.dat
Is there a way that I can prevent this from happening?

Obviously, the server is ignoring the text after the semicolon. Doesn't even sound like a legitimate file.
