Hi there,
I upload all my files to a network drive every week and have the default "file exists" setting as "if source file is newer" in order to keep a back up of all my most recent work. I do the transfer in binary. All the files are either pdf, excel and word docs. I have quite a large percentage of corrupt files on the network drive. I just uploaded a pdf file today and it was logged as succesful even though the file size was different and when I tried to open it , it was corrupt. I deleted it and re uploaded it and it was fine. I am behind a router and a hardware firewall but I do not have the option of bypassing them - any ideas as to how I can get around this? If not, does anyone know of an ftp client with error checking capabilities?

Re: Corrupt Files
Use explicit FTP over TLS. That way the transfers are integrity protected.
Re: Corrupt Files
A large percentage of corrupted transfers usually point to either a hardware defect or a driver problem. Transfer corruption due to hardware is mostly because of defect RAM. If it's a driver issue, usually the drivers for the NIC are at fault.
