We are using just the client side of filezilla and our it has set up groups to login and we wondered if there is a way to lock the files in the groups so that not everyone in that group can view it.

The server administrator would have to restrict access to the files. From the client side you can't do anything*.

*If the server is a *NIX one, you may have the possibility of CHMODding the files so only the owner has access.

You could encrypt the files using password, with most any archive solution, before uploading to server.

We found the archiving password option but we are afraid people wont remember to delete the one on their machine and we would duplicate to many folders. Is there a way to zip it once its in FZ?
