Hi,
I thought I had set up my connection settings correctly, and the guys at my web host are insisting its not the server.
I transfer a large number of small files to my server, but they block my IP address when a single IP opens up more than about 150 simultaneous connections.
FileZilla seems to open a new connection for every file I try to transfer, instead of sticking to the 2 that I specified in my options.
It says its using Passive connections, but seems to be doing it on a different port each time.
What do I need to change to correct this? I'm getting tired of uploading 100 files at a time.
Rob.
FileZilla keeps opening new data connections

Re: FileZilla keeps opening new data connections
After each transfer, FileZilla closes the data connection.
However, there are a lot of broken consumer-grade (pronounced: crap) routers and firewalls out there that disregard the TCP specifications and silently drop connections instead of closing them properly. That's the most likely cause for your problems.
