Unencrypted data, encrypted login

I am trying to access an ssl enabled vsftp server with filezilla. The server is configured to encrypt the control channel (so passwords are encrypted), but not force the client to encrypt the data so the transfer is faster and the server experiences less load.

However, filezilla seems to always encrypt the data too, and I cannot find an option to disable this. Is there an option available which allows only the logins to be encrypted?

Not possible yet, planned for a future version.

I think this is important for many users.
