directory listing truncated at 2000

#1 Post by phoenix1234 » 2011-07-24 22:25

hi

my server has well over 5000 files on it, alot of those are in 1 directory, and there is no way they can be moved, the thing is filezilla truncates at 2000 files.

is there any way to have the directory show all files within it?

Not correct, FileZilla would display even millions of files in one directory. However, your server is deliberately configured to cut listings at 2000 files. As you will certainly understand, FileZilla cannot display more than the server sends.

As you cannot move files, sadly your only option is to contact the server administrator and demand to lift/remove this cap. Alternatively, if SFTP is supported by them, use it. We had reports here where SFTP worked.
